Torami

Umbria IGT

A rebellious and individualistic wine
The IGT Umbria Rosso Torami, was first vinified in 2003 and named after an estate place name. It was born out of a desire to experiment with a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon to make an appealing, enveloping wine.

The vineyards from which it comes are located in the Lake Trasimeno area in Umbria.
Maceration lasts twenty days in contact with the skins and then alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel barrels for an equal number of days.

The wine then spends ten months in wood, in French oak barriques, while it is refined in the bottle for six months.
Intense ruby red in colour, it has a generous bouquet that begins with hints of blackberry jam and then turns towards eucalyptus and liquorice.

Very well balanced tannins and a long finish.
Perfect in combination with game, especially wild boar
